How Long Can Each Zodiac Sign Keep Up the Silent Treatment?

Nobody wants to speak first, yet both are watching for a sign. How long each sign holds a cold war, and how they finally break the ice.

Day 3 of the silent treatment. You open the streaming account you share and see a show in “Continue Watching” that you two agreed to watch together. They are already on episode 4. You stare at the screen, not sure whether to be mad or laugh.

A cold war wears you down more than a loud fight. Nobody wants to speak first, and both are secretly watching for a move. Some people crack in one night, and some can hold out for days. Each sign ends it differently. Learn their pattern and you will know when to catch the ball.

Aries: Cannot last a single night

11 p.m., pacing outside the bedroom door, then barging in: “Okay, how long are we doing this?” Aries hates stewing. Their fiery temper would rather have one big blowout than a quiet standoff. Their silent treatment record is usually measured in hours.

Taurus: Warms things up with a pot of soup

Taurus can hold out for days, and the way they end it is stubborn and sweet. One evening you come home to your favorite pork rib and radish soup simmering on the stove. They say nothing, just set a bowl in front of you. They are bad at peace-making speeches, but food tells you they are not mad anymore.

Gemini: Sends a video like nothing happened

“Hey, look at this, I’m dying.” Day 2, and Gemini drops a cat video in your chat, sounding like there was never a fight. Their mouth can't sit still and long silence is torture, so their go-to move is to act normal and talk about something else. A smiley face back is enough. That is the handshake.

Cancer: Typing… then gone

You will notice Cancer’s light stays on late during a cold war, and the chat keeps showing “typing” and then nothing. They will not say it, but every minute they are waiting for you. Scared that speaking first will get them rejected, they usually last until day 3 or 4, then say “I miss you” with teary eyes.

Leo: Waits for an easy out, then takes it graciously

Leo does not like bowing first, but offer a small out, like “I booked that barbecue place you wanted to try,” and they will accept with style. Pride matters a lot to them, so they end a cold war like they are handing out an award. On the surface they are forgiving you. Really, they wanted to make up long ago.

Virgo: A long message, with paragraphs and numbers

Night 2, a long message arrives. Paragraph 1 explains why they were upset. Paragraph 2 admits where they were wrong too. Paragraph 3 lays out how they hope things go next time. Virgo needs time to sort out their feelings, and once they are sorted, the cold war simply ends.

Libra: Builds a bridge through mutual friends

Your friends suddenly organize a hot pot night, and your seats happen to be side by side. Libra hates a standoff but worries speaking first means losing, so they borrow a little help. This is exactly the kind of setting where they relax. Halfway through dinner, they casually put your favorite taro on your plate.

Scorpio: The longest freeze, the cleanest ending

If anyone can stay cold for a whole week, it is Scorpio. They replay things over and over to figure out what exactly upset them. Ruled by Pluto, they do not thaw easily, but once they decide to end it, they ask you to meet and talk it all out. After that, the page is turned for good. They will not bring it up again.

Sagittarius: A screenshot of train tickets

“Weekend trip down south. You in?” Sagittarius ends a cold war by changing the scenery. They can't stand sulking in a small room. Get them outside, pass a stall with amazing beef soup, and you will both be laughing before you know it.

Capricorn: Keeps the routine and waits for you to notice

Capricorn does not make a show of a cold war. They go to work, take out the trash, same as always. The end is quiet too. One morning you find they filled your thermos with hot water before leaving. Soft words don't come easily, so they speak through routine, and that small gesture is their way of saying “let’s make up.”

Aquarius: Disappears for 2 days, comes back with a solution

Aquarius steps away during a cold war, glued to the computer or off playing games at a friend’s place. 2 days later they come back and ask, very calmly, “I thought about it. Could we handle that thing like this?” They need time alone to cool their head, and by the time they return, they usually have a plan.

Pisces: A sticky note on the bathroom mirror

A sticky note in tiny handwriting: “I’m sorry. Can we not do this anymore?” Pisces cannot last long. Their imagination gets there first: they scare themselves with what-ifs and start fearing you really do not want them. That note is the courage they find when they cannot say it face to face.

Byeol Bunny’s cold war record is half a day, because dinner time came and munching carrots alone was too boring. In a cold war, both people are waiting, so make it easy for whoever speaks first. As for the show they secretly watched up to episode 4, their punishment is rewatching it with you from episode 1.
