Your privacy matters

This Privacy Policy explains what information Byeol Bunny Astrology (“the site”) handles and how it is used and kept. The site does not require an account and never asks for your name, phone number, email or other directly identifying information.

Data stored in your browser

The following stays in your own browser (localStorage) and is never sent to our server. Clearing the site data in your browser removes all of it:

• The zodiac sign you picked, so your horoscope shows up next time.
• Rising sign and birth chart inputs, only when you tick “Save my details”. They are cleared automatically after 3 days, and unticking deletes them immediately.
• Your journal and collected stickers.
• Interface preferences such as sound on/off and “later” on install or update tips, plus a visit count used only to decide when to show those tips.
• Your horoscope alert signs and options, used to show whether alerts are turned on.

Cookies

The site uses the cookies below. We do not use advertising cookies:

• Language: remembers the language you chose, kept for 1 year.
• Blessing rack: a random code so you can tie one blessing a day and send starlight to each blessing once, kept for 1 year. The code contains no personal information.
• Article statistics: used only when statistics are switched on, a random code so the same visitor is not counted twice, kept for 30 days.
• Google Analytics: cookies whose names start with _ga hold a random code to tell visitors apart, kept for up to 2 years (see “Site statistics (Google Analytics)” below).

Data kept on our server

To keep the blessing rack and article statistics fair, our server stores only anonymous codes processed with a cryptographic hash. We do not store raw IP addresses:

• Blessing rack: the blessing you tied (chosen from blessings we provide, never your own text), the hashed code and the date, deleted automatically after 7 days.
• Article views: the hashed code and the date. Raw records are deleted after 30 days; only daily totals without personal information are kept.
• Visit and page view counts: a cryptographic hash of your IP address and the time it was last counted, so the same visitor is counted once per 6 hours. Deleted after 2 days; only daily totals without personal information are kept. Nothing is recorded when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Birth details and charts

Rising sign and birth chart calculations run entirely in your browser. The birth date, time and place you enter are never sent to our server. Chart readings are general texts written in advance and displayed on your device based on the result.

Third‑party services

The site uses Cloudflare for delivery and security, and a hosting provider runs our server. To deliver pages, block attacks and fix problems, these services may briefly log connection details such as IP address, browser type and access time under their own policies. The site shows no ads. When you tap the X, Facebook or LINE share buttons, that service’s page opens and its own privacy policy applies from then on.

Site statistics (Google Analytics)

To learn which content people find useful and to improve the site, we load Google Analytics 4 through Cloudflare to measure how the site is used:

• What is recorded: pages viewed, time spent, the site or search that brought you here, device and browser type, and approximate location (country or city).
• Google Analytics does not store your full IP address. We only look at aggregated statistics, never link them to who you are, and never use or share them for advertising.
• The data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy, and detailed records are deleted after 14 months.
• To opt out, block or clear cookies in your browser, or install Google’s “Google Analytics Opt‑out Browser Add‑on” (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The site still works normally.

Horoscope alerts (push notifications)

Only after you tap “Turn on alerts” and allow notifications in your browser, the site stores the following to send horoscope updates and Mercury retrograde reminders each morning:

• The push address and encryption keys your browser provides (created by your browser vendor’s push service; they do not tell us who you are).
• The signs, alert options and language you chose, plus the date each alert was last sent (to avoid duplicates).
• Alert content is encrypted and delivered to your device through the push service of Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft.
• Tapping “Turn off alerts” in the alert window deletes this data immediately. It is also deleted automatically when the push service reports the address as expired or after 5 failed deliveries in a row.

Your choices

You can clear the site’s cookies and data or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Most content still works when cookies are blocked, but language memory and the blessing rack may not.

Children’s privacy

The site is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when features or laws change, and will revise the effective date on this page. Significant changes to how data is handled will be clearly announced on the site.
