Office crushes: where each zodiac sign gives it away

They think acting professional keeps it secret, but the hand warmers, the overtime hours, and that defense in the meeting give everything away.

Lunch break in the office pantry, four people lined up for the microwave. They are right behind you. You turn around and notice their lunch box is the exact one you recommended at lunch last week. A coworker behind them clears their throat, and suddenly it feels like the whole pantry is watching.

The hardest part of an office crush is that everyone thinks they are hiding it well. Coworkers have sharp eyes, though, and what feels careful to you often looks obvious to everyone else.

Aries: first to jump in during the meeting

The manager criticizes the other person at the weekly meeting, and before the sentence is even finished, Aries raises a hand: “We set this timeline together. It’s not on them alone.” The meeting room goes silent for three seconds. Aries is protective and quick to react, and when someone they like is put on the spot, there is no time to think about hiding.

Taurus: the snack drawer that never runs out

The cookies in the other person’s drawer, the jar of nuts on their desk, somehow never run out. Coworkers eventually figure out that Taurus orders an extra share every week in the group buy and slips it over during lunch. Taurus is not good with sweet words, so food does the talking. That very practical kind of care is how Taurus shows feelings.

Gemini: instant replies, for one person only

In the office group chat, Gemini is friendly with everyone and seems to treat all equally. But one day a coworker glances at their screen: a message from the other person, answered in under 5 seconds, with two stickers. Everyone else might wait until the end of the day. Gemini thinks they are hiding in the noise, but the reply speed gives them away.

Cancer: hand warmers on the coldest day

On the morning a cold front hits, a hand warmer and a cup of hot ginger tea appear on the other person’s desk. A coworker jokes, “Hey, how come only they get one?” Cancer blushes: “I just happened to buy an extra.” Their caring habits are hard to hide, and for someone they like, it doubles. Coworkers cannot help but notice.

Leo: presentations get extra intense

Whenever the other person is in the meeting room, Leo presents a little louder, with extra animations on the slides. The day that person is on leave, Leo’s presentation is suddenly very ordinary. Leo wants to shine in front of the one they like, and everyone can see the effort. Only Leo thinks it looks natural.

Virgo: their red ink goes soft

Virgo proofreads for the whole team. Everyone else’s files come back covered in red, even punctuation circled. For the other person’s file, Virgo marks just two spots in light gray, with a note: “Changing this would make it even better.” A coworker compares the two and laughs. Virgo rarely says they like someone, but lowering their standards for one person says it all.

Libra: always “happens” to sit next to them

Team dinners, year-end parties, cross-department meetings. Libra always “happens” to sit next to the other person. They are equally polite to everyone, with no visible favoritism, yet the seating coincidences pile up like they were planned. Libra makes things look natural, but by the fifth coincidence, everyone gets it.

Scorpio: cold at work, waiting in the parking lot

At the office, Scorpio barely speaks to the other person, even doing handovers by email. Coworkers assume they are not close. Then someone working late spots Scorpio in the basement parking lot, leaning against that person’s car, both of them laughing. Scorpio separates work and private life well, but their eyes betray them. In meetings, they look at that person more than at the slides.

Sagittarius: everyone knows except them

For the company trip, Sagittarius keeps finding reasons to be in the other person’s group. For lunch plans, that person is always the first one they message. The whole floor has noticed. Even the cleaning auntie has asked. Sagittarius still thinks they are being discreet and asks a friend, “We’re hiding it pretty well, right?”

Capricorn: same overtime hours, exactly

Capricorn is the best hider in the office, always strictly professional with the other person. The only slip is in the clock-out records. Whenever that person works late, Capricorn happens to have something to finish too, and they always leave within two or three minutes of each other. Capricorn does not show feelings at work. They show up instead.

Aquarius: little jokes hidden in the shared doc

The other person opens the shared project document and finds a comment: “These numbers are like that ramen place you mentioned, a bit too salty.” Only the two of them get it. Aquarius likes leaving signals where nobody else would look. Their status message also changes, without a word, to something that person once said.

Pisces: speechless in the elevator

Alone together in the elevator, Pisces stares at the floor numbers, blushing from ears to neck, and says nothing until the 12th floor. At the year-end party, they draw the gift the other person prepared, and their eyes get misty while coworkers cheer. Pisces wears every feeling on their face, and the more they want to hide, the less they can.

Byeol Bunny once worked in an office for a while and noticed the hardest thing to hide: the plant on one particular desk that people kept fighting to water. If you are hiding something too, relax. Your coworkers probably know already and are just kindly keeping quiet.
