When a Leo Likes You, the Whole Office Can Tell

A Leo with a crush rarely hides it. He shows off for you, watches only your reaction, and makes the first move in his own way.

At the company year-end party, Jay was only supposed to read out the raffle winners. When you went up to collect a hair dryer, he somehow asked three extra questions: “Is that jacket new?” “Are you staying for the second round?” People started teasing. He waved it off with a laugh, but his eyes kept drifting back to you.

If that guy is a Leo, you won't have to guess for long. When a Leo likes someone, he usually can't hide it, and honestly, he isn't trying to.

He wants you to see him at his best

Leo is ruled by the Sun, and the Sun likes to sit right in the middle and shine. So his first move is often to perform a little. In meetings you attend, his slides get two extra pages. You mention you like people who play basketball, and that weekend he sets up a game and drops a clip of his best shot in the group chat.

It can look like bragging, but it's closer to a peacock spreading its feathers. He wants you to know: here's what I've got, think about it. For him, being noticed by you is step one.

He will make a move, just on his own terms

People assume a Leo always speaks first. Mostly true. He's a fire sign, so when he wants to ask you to dinner or a movie, he asks. But he really hates being turned down in front of others, so the first step comes nicely wrapped: “I've got an extra ticket, want it?” or a seat he quietly saved for you at a group dinner.

If you answer coolly, he steps back to protect his pride. He still likes you; he's just waiting for a signal. Reply with “Sure, but you're buying the popcorn,” and he'll run with it and even pick the seats.

You become the one audience member he cares about

A Leo usually reads the whole room when he talks. Once he likes you, he reads only you. He tells a joke and checks whether you laughed. He posts a gym photo, and before you've even tapped the heart, he messages you: “Is this one okay?”

He'll also introduce you to his friends with a touch of pride: “This is the one I told you about. She draws really well.” If he brings you into his circle that openly, you're already near the front of the line.

Then there are the small things. At a noodle place with a group, he remembers you don't eat cilantro and tells the server before you can. You mention an exhibit you want to see, and next time he already knows which day is least crowded. He wants to be the one who gets you, and he wants you to notice.

If you like him back, be specific with praise

The easiest way to respond is to let him know you noticed. Skip the generic “you're amazing.” Pick one detail: “Your opening today was so funny, I retold it to my coworkers twice.” A Leo will hold onto that for a long time and try even harder next time.

If you're not interested, say so clearly and in private. What hurts him most is being left hanging in front of people. A simple, private “I think we're better as friends” lets him step back gracefully, and he'll still greet you warmly afterward.

When Byeol Bunny was little, he had a crush on a kid from the next class and practiced jump rope in the hallway every day until his legs ached, just so they'd glance over while walking by. Later he found out the kid was nearsighted and never wore glasses. So if a Leo keeps jumping rope in front of you, give him a look. It'll make his whole day.
